About Curve Volume Lab
A lab notebook about bonding-curve markets on Solana, written for people who are looking at a launchpad token page and want to know what the numbers on it are actually describing.
What this site is
Curve Volume Lab publishes explanatory notes on a narrow subject: how trading volume forms on Solana bonding-curve launchpads, what the resulting numbers mean, and what changes at each stage of a launch. The scope is deliberately small. Everything published here belongs to one of three desks, covering curve mechanics, launch stages, and volume data.
The material is written for launch teams, curve traders, and anyone trying to read a token page more carefully than the headline figures allow. It assumes you can open a block explorer and are willing to look at a transaction list, but it does not assume any programming background.
Independence
Not affiliated with Pump.fun
Curve Volume Lab is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Pump.fun, PumpSwap, Raydium, Jupiter, or any other launchpad, exchange or protocol mentioned on this site. We do not use their logos or brand assets. Protocol names appear only as the subjects of commentary, and any factual parameter should be verified against the protocol's own documentation before you rely on it.
The site does carry commercial links. Where a commercial product is named or linked, the surrounding text says what the product does and does not claim anything about outcomes. Those links are counted and capped, and they never appear in place of an explanation.
Who writes it
Notes are published under the byline The Curve Volume Lab Desk. That is a house byline, not a pseudonym for an invented expert. We do not publish author photographs, fabricated biographies, or credential claims we cannot substantiate, because in this subject area those are the standard decoration on material that is not worth reading.
What replaces a named author is method. Every note is expected to describe the mechanism that produces a number before it interprets the number, and to distinguish in the sentence itself between what is observed from chain state and what is inferred from a pattern.
How a note is put together
Start from program behaviour
Identify what the on-chain program actually does that results in the figure being discussed. If that step cannot be completed, the note is not written.
Separate observation from inference
Anything readable from an account balance, a transaction list or a public explorer is described as observed. Anything reconstructed from a pattern is labelled as inference in the same sentence.
Use labelled arithmetic
Worked examples use round numbers picked for legibility. They are marked as illustrative wherever they appear and are never presented as measurements of a real token.
Hedge anything that can change
Launchpad parameters such as fee percentages, migration thresholds and destination venues have all been revised in the past. Where such a figure appears it is described as documented history that must be re-verified.
Publish the limits
Each note states what it cannot tell you. A diagnostic that only works in some conditions is published with those conditions attached.
What we do not do
Out of scope, permanently
- No price predictions, price targets or token recommendations of any kind.
- No claims about specific launches, teams or wallets, and no naming of individuals.
- No performance figures for any tool, including tools we link to.
- No fabricated statistics, review counts, ratings or testimonials.
- No requests for a private key, seed phrase or wallet connection. Nothing on this site ever needs one.
- No paid placement inside the body of an explanatory note without the relationship being stated.
Corrections and change
This subject moves. Programs are upgraded, thresholds change, destination venues change, and a note that was accurate can become wrong without anyone touching it. When we find an error, the note is corrected and the change is described rather than quietly overwritten. The full policy, including how to report a problem, is on the editorial policy page.
If something here is wrong, the fastest way to get it fixed is to say which sentence and why. Details are on the contact page.
Risk statement
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Trading tokens on bonding-curve launchpads carries a high risk of total loss, and automated trading adds operational risk on top of market risk. Assess your own jurisdiction and your own tolerance before acting on anything you read here or anywhere else.
